Olivier Moeckli is a Swiss photographer and videographer, focusing on portrait and documentary work.

He began his career as a film director and director’s assistant (with Jacques Rivette and Straub/Huillet among others), before working for the public communication of the International Red Cross in Afghanistan, Angola, Colombia, Iraq and several other countries at war.

Since 2009, he has undertaken several long-term photography projects, documenting the people living in Chinatown in Bangkok, as well as rice farmers in Asia, through a mix of portraits and documentary photos.

From 2009 to 2016, he traveled to 22 cities through all 5 continents to portray the first generation of teenagers to grow up globally connected in the age of social media.
